Cafe Daytime 2009 (fully licensed)

The Apple Tree Café is a quiet relaxing venue, sitting within the Orchard and Plant Nursery at Afton Park. This is linked to the working garden to provide fruit, herbs and vegetables to support the kitchen and includes some rare heritage vegetable varieties. The garden supports the kitchen as much as possible during the season. Our farm on the East side of the island supplies the cafe and farm shop with meat. The cafe also specialises in wheat and gluten free cakes, meals and soups.

Daytime we serve beverages including milky hot chocolate and horlicks and cakes between 10am - 4pm, if you would like one of our home made stews, soups or casserol's lunch is between 12pm and 2.30pm. Evening service starts at 5.30pm last orders are at 8.30pm.

Daytime opening 7 days a week.

Evening opening Thursday - Saturday and Wednesday - Saturday July and August.

Daytime serves soups & casserols (in the colder months), wheat and gluten free/ dairy free cakes (wheat and gluten free cakes and soups) are made on site. We also have a lovely selection of sandwich meals in the warmer months.

As well as our apple juice and beef there is also a range of Afton Park pickles, chutneys, relishes, jams & jellies and other local products in our shop.
